Subject: VSTPolaris Control

Don't hold me to this but I might have a use for those with dead
membrane switches. Due to the remarkable and unheard of midi
implementation (even for today), it is certainly possible, given the
time, to create a VST plugin capable of controlling all aspects of the
polaris. This would render the membrane switches not necessary and
would save the switches of some others that are going. And many don't
know that the synth can actually respond to channel AND polyphonic
aftertouch! It's hard to determine without a controller that sends it
but I was able to confirm with my Kurz. Midiboard.
I love love love my Polaris. It's probably my favorite synth. From
the ability to transpose oscillators on the fly to useable notes, to
the selective held-note pitchbend, to the unique mono/glide
implementation - this has got to be one of the more expressive synths
out there. And despite the fact that the output is mono, when I detune
those voices - I swear it sounds like a gorgeous stereo chorus. I
promise to let this group know if I complete my VSTPolaris control, but
due to time contstraints, it might be a bit. Hello to all out there
and DON'T spread the word. These amazing machines are our little
secret.
