im sorry to sound like a parrot .
my polaris II finally arrived, and of course it suffers from the membrane death, which im
assuning is usually cracks in the wires (as i have read in previous posts)
could someone answer a couple of questions for me before i open the synth up, i dont
want to cause mre damage than good .
1- where and what are the flexible cables that go to the panel ? does someone have an
internal photo showing these wires so i know what im looking for . . . ?
2- as the problem is called by cracking in the cables, will the cables crack more doe to my
opening up the synth and poking about ?
3- what is the best pen/silev ink available for redrawing the traces ?
4- how easy is a trim of the cables as people have mentioned and which end do i trim ?
thanks . i hope somone can help .
my new synth sounds amazing and i have been controlling it via midi CC
im planning to build a stand alone controller using max/msp on my osx macintosh .
as max/msp is available and between mac and pc i figure i can create a standalone
application and upload this for others to use .
has anyone created one of these ?
anyway . . . the synth sounds amazing .
its a polaris 2 with a serial of 500193
ill post some pics soon .
thanks in advance for the help . (btw , i have already read through the posts on archive
here and these things above are still a little unclear to me, apologies if this has all been
covered already)
peace
alex
