That's what I'd do. If I had to take a wild guess, I'd guess the
failure was in the power supply itself. Fortunately, it's a simple
power supply (assuming you're talking about the Polaris) for any
electronic repairman to figure out.

I bought a broken Chroma and when I opened it up I found the fuse was
missing. I assume whatever took out the fuse is still there. Does it
make sense to first disconnect the power supply to see if the fuse
still blows? Any thought on how to proceed?
I hope I can bring this classic synth back to life.
