Subject: Re: [chromapolaris] Polaris patches in SoundDiver.lib format

A bit more on this:

The modification date of the Polaris adaptation that comes with the
SoundDiver 3.1 beta is July 28, 2002, so I assume it will work with
earlier versions, at least on Mac OS. I don't know what legal issues
might exist with posting or sending a copy of this file; but you can
probably retrieve it from the beta download [1] even if you don't have
an XSKey to launch the app, at least if you're running Mac OS X--and
why wouldn't you be?! :)

It looks like the author is Malte Rogacki, who is on the ChromaTalk
list [2] and also wrote the Chroma adaptation.

From my experience running the Chroma site, I think it would be better
if patches were submitted in sysex format as a baseline and then
optionally in proprietary editor/librarian file formats. Everyone will
have access to them this way, as all that is required is a sysex app,
for instance SysEx Librarian [3] for Mac OS X, Sysex [4] for Mac System
7 - OS 9.x, or a Windows equivalent (does anyone have some
recommendations here? I'd like to include some on my new Chroma site).
