Hi Ian,
The company I purchased my PSU from is this one
http://powerstaxplc.com/
The specific unit was a HBB15-1.5-A+ and cost £56.20
It is a true linear PSU that can run as either +/- 15V or +/- 12V
As for cabinets there two choices, either invest in some euro rack mounting rails to screw to the timber or screw battens to the timber and use wood screws.
I prefer the former as it's easier to move modules around.
Both Farnell and RS Components used to supply these.
As for the case my local B&Q sell pine furniture boards of various lengths and thicknesses. I intend to carefully measure the lengths needed and get them to cut the boards to size (I think the first couple of cuts are free) then drill and dowel the joins and add a piece of 1X1 in the corner for strength.
Best of luck
David

Subject: 1 Nice wooden cabinets
Hi all
Well thanks to recent spending (many thanks David) I've outgrown my 2
19" racks and I'm looking for alternatives. I want to build a 2 row,
double width (168hp) wooden cabinet for my doepfer system and was
wondering if anyone has seen links to designs or pretty pictures. I'm
not much of a woodworker and can see myself getting it wrong before I
get it right, so looking at other peoples plans will probably help.
Also, anyone using a 3rd party power supply with their system I know
pro-one's are popular in the US, but hard to find here in the UK. Can
anyone suggest a model number. Whatever I go for I gotta remember to
leave enough room in the cabinet for it! (How many times have I messed
that one up...)
Thanks for any ideas. I'll send links to pretty( ) pictures when I
get anywhere with the project.
Ian
