Hi Dieter,
Its really the A-100 such high impedance I mean 10k output
impedance...
In reality sometimes the specifications of gear specified the
impedance the output want to "see" ie. the input impedance of the
next gear in the chain, not the actual output impedance.
For example the output impedance of a electric guitar is about 10K
(not Meg.!!) so it expect an input with at least 10x the impedance,
in this case 100K or more. A microphone output impedance is about
200Ohm, thats why mic preamp input impedance is around 2K... Pro gear
use 10K inputs or old gear 600Ohm inputs and usually pro gear have a
low output impedance (600Ohm or less, usually less than 100Ohm) Thats
why I shocked when you say the low impedance of the A100 is 10K!!
Best Regards,
Josue Arias.
PS: I always record my synths including the A-100 thru tube DIs just
for wearm the signal. I can recomend everybody the
excellent "possessed" DI/preamp by HCL ( http://www.papa-
movie.com/html/hand_crafted.html )
It eats avalons and such crap for dinner!
