Please look at the message from July 03. Here you find a list of the
projects we are dealing with at the moment.
I hope the first prototype of the universal AD/DA module will arrive next
week and then Christian will start the software development to find out what
is possible with this module(s). These are the first plans: bit
cruncher/exchanger, clocked audio/CV delay, sampler, wavetable player,
digital waveshaper/wave multiplier, V/Oct->Hz/V converter and the other way
round.
The preliminary front panel layout will be ready soon and we will publish a
preliminary page for this module(s).
Some customers tested the TKB and discovered that there are problems with
polyphony. If more than one key is touched sometimes not all keys are
recognized. The reason is that the hum noise transferred to the metal plates
becomes smaller as soon as more than one key is touched. We will have to
decide if the TKB will be monophonic only or if we try another solution
(e.g. the comb-type pcb layout of other designs that use the resistance of a
finger instead of the hum noise, or a design that is based on capacity
changes if a key is touched).
For the normal keyboard we decided to offer the 4 octaves version with case
(all other versions only as OEM products). Our case manufacturer is about to
built a prototype. In the meantime even the controller-box electronics is
ready and working (8 inputs available). We are about to discuss which
elements (wheels, joysticks, buttons ...) and which arrangement (i.e.
positions of the elements) will be used.
It is hard to predict in which order the modules/products will be published.
It depends upon technical conditions (e.g. technical problems that may occur
and have to be solved, required time of external companies, e.g. our case
manufacturer) and if there will be modifications (and how many) after the
first prototype is made. As you know the members of this group are
integrated into this procedure.
Best wishes
