You can check it e.g. with a multimeter. On the bus boards are flat
connectors (at the right side) labelled GND and +5V. The voltage between
these terminals has to be +5V. And there is another fast check: the third
LED on the bus board has to light up if the +5V adapter is installed
correctly.
