For example you could add the A-122 to the A-188-x. It's a very neutral 24dB
low pass (with additonal voltage controlled resonance "for free"). The price
is Euro 85.00 and that's about $100. You would have the features you ask for
but could use the A-122 even independent of the A-188-x for other
applications. So I cannot see any advantage of a built in filter for extra
$100.
But it's always a matter of taste how far the amount of modularity has to
go. There will always remain different opinions. E.g. we considered at the
beginning to separate the HSVCO from the BBD modules but gave up this idea
later.
