Sorry, this is a bit off topic, but it is so quiet in the Analogues
Systems forum.
I am soon purchasing "French Connection". It is an Ondes Martenot
like analogue controller made by Analogue Systems:

I am concerned about its "one size fits all" ring. A real Ondes
Martenot ring seems to have some clever mechnanism inside, which
makes it "fit" regardless of finger size. I guess this improves
accuracy. I can't try before buy, but the simple and seemingly rather
large ring of French Connection makes me wonder. How can I make a
good vibrato or small adjustments, if the ring is too big for my
finger Analogue Systems told me it will be difficult to replace. Any
proud French Connection owners here, who would like to comment
Another thing, which don't appeal to me, is the low note priority a
la Moog. I can handle it, but high note priority feels more logical
to me - perhaps, because I see analogy to Swedish key-fiddle or
nyckelharpa.
Also, depending on the Controller Select Switches, one of the three
controller devices (button, slider, keyboard) is always inactive.
Analogue Systems says there is a technical reason for this. Anyway it
seems a waste. I could definitely use them all simultaneously.
Unfortunately Analogue Systems don't do customization to French
Connection on these features. My questions were kindly answered
though.
