Hi there Aussie Doepfer users. I contacted the Australian Distributor
about a year ago and got no response, by email anyway.
Looking at their web site, it seems they have not updated their module price
list in 3 years and also didn't adjust prices to suit the strong
dollar we have now and it seems the price list was set when our dollar
was at 56 US cents. This is extremely frustrating and annoying
and what I would do, if I were the Doepfer company, would be to
relinquish the contract with the Australian distributor and get it
done with some one who cares about the product. What the Aussie
distributor has done is the equivalent of what our channel 9 TV station
does - gets a contract to lock out the competition and then drop
the product line.
I myself contacted the Analogue Haven guy in the US and he was happy
to ship modules to me direct, doing business in the usual way - something
that the Australian distributor seems to not want to do, or is incapable
of, through their own stupidity, ignorance or lack of interest.
