I'm not a fan of mixing modules in the same frame, for a number of
reasons:
- It'll look ugly, which is an issue for live performance. Gaps
between modules and clashing front panels.
- It'll make your module selections twice as difficult. For
bread-and-butter modules and many others as well, there won't be
enough of a difference between the manufacturers to base your decision
on. You'll end up banging your head against the wall, or making
yourself unpopular on the forum by repeatedly asking for guidance
where none is possible.
- Each manufacturer has their own way of doing things that make their
modules work together as a system. Subtle differences to be sure, and
frequently not important, but that makes it all the more difficult to
predict when it will become an issue.
- Power supply hassles.
If you look through the photos area of this group, you won't see many
mixed module setups. It always seems like a good idea, but think twice
about it.

the mounting holes on the A Systems panels use a different off-set so
when mixing modules gaps will appear. Doepfer and A Solutions use the
same mounting standard.

Doepfer power lead. Beaware that A So;utions use a lot of 5V and the
mini adapter that comes with a A100 basic system will not drive more
that 6 modules.
