Building a multiple is as simple as soldering all the jacks together.
You don't need to earth it. There will be signal loss relative to
the physical length of your multiple (probably very small) but also
for every CV in you try to drive with it. I can't fathom the maths
behind this, but in my experience, 10 or so outputs should still be
strong enough a signal if you are sharing a Trig or Gate or audio
signal around, but don't expect a string of VCOs to still manage a
full octave for your 1Volt input.
