hi there folks.
this may be a dieter only query, but i'll address it to the group in
case there are any suggestions.
i was immediately interested in the a100 "beauty case" when i saw it
posted on the doepfer webpage. however i have a question about the
power supply. i've noticed previously the "mini-bus board power
supply" in the doepfer website, and i have to assume this is intended
to fit into the forthcoming "beauty case". i also noticed that this
provides only 100mA current. many module combos that will fit into
the beauty case will exceed 100mA. for instance, an ext input/env
module, plus 2 normal 8hp filters, plus a dual VCA module will equal
110mA (30mA x 3 =90mA + additional 20mA for the dual vca = 110mA).
i currently have a 36hp plastic case left over from a analogue
solutions "mini modular" i had years ago. the power supply,
unfortunately, is long gone. however, this could be my
perfect "beauty case". but i need a power supply that could feed
different combos of 36HP modules. ideally 200mA would cover every
possible module combo, i think.
do you, dieter, or anyone else have an suggestions, such a bipolar
power supply kits and such that would work. my brief google searches
didn't really pin down any particular kits. obviously something very
bulky would not work in a small case. i think i would be willing to
buy a regular doepfer bus board and cut it down to have 6 or so male
ribbon connectors.
if you tell me that the proposed "beauty case" will accomodate above
100mA i'd be willing to wait it out until you put it on the market.
thanks for info-
tom
