Next weekend my duo project EKG will be performing Morton Feldman's 1976 composition,
Oboe and Orchestra, with a realization of the orchestral score which I made entirely with a
Doepfer A-100 system. (Kyle Bruckmann will perform the oboe part on oboe.) Although I
usually use the A-100 as an improvising instrument, for the Feldman everything will be pre-
recorded. Although every part is exactly in place and in tune, this is no 'switched-on-Bach'; I
haven't tried to imitate the sounds of acoustic instruments, but instead to create electrical
analogies...
