Hi Gene,
My initial thought is for you to check your PSU is not overworked or failing in some way.
Ideally check the voltages with everything plugged in and if your running below +/- 12V then that could be the problem. Some modules are a bit more sensitive to voltage drop than others.

Subject: 1 Been having trouble with Doepfer modules
I¹m not even sure what the question is exactly...I don¹t know much about the
electronics end of things, and perhaps someone might look at what¹s happened
and have some ideas about what¹s going on. Or perhaps it¹s just bad luck
In the past few months I¹ve had 3 modules fail. A wasp filter stopped
filtering (but would send the signal through), a logic module stopped
working, and now, most disconcertingly, my a-154 isn¹t working properly.
The top row of knobs and the various functions of the sequencer and the
a-155 work ok, but knobs 2-4 on the bottom aren¹t working properly. The
third knob has a limited warbly range, and the other 2 don¹t work at all.
The module used to work fine.
I also find that when I plug more than 1 or 2 outputs from a multiple, the
signal degrades the voltage range that comes out from it is decreased
(probably could be said a lot better. I hope that I¹m making some sense).
Does the combination of these things point to some kind of underlying cause
Is this expected behavior from a multiple (I hope not)
Do I simply have no idea what I¹m talking about (kind of hope so).
Discouraged right now. I really need the a-154.
