pierre,
i was in the same not-sure-for-what situation, and decided to ease myself into analogue
sequencing with a 160/161 combination, thus saving 1) loads of money and 2) loads of
space. i was also more interested in control than notes.
limited, i know, but very much less so than i had imagined, necessity being the mother of
invention.
my intention to buy something more spectacular once i'd gained a little more experience
with the small stuff has now been put on ice - there is so much that you can do with the
160/161 once you start plugging it into all those envelopes, slew filters and other stuff
you've already got, that i plan to simply add another such combo to my very modest half
empty suitcase.
which leaves me with enough cash and TEs to change my mind later :) or add a few other
cheapo switches for more stuff that you never did with cubase.
cheers,
stu
