hi group,
first this: the 106 is wonderful. got mine a week ago and it's like a modular synth in itself,
due to the separate lp and hp inputs and the resonance loop. i could almost start a yahoo!
extreme filter group :) up till now i've always regarded 12db filters as something for the
wohlklang department, great for atmos and stringy things, but not the first choice for lead
and bass sounds. the 106 is different. i really can't think of a decent reason not to have
one.
dieter, if there is to be a 106-2, then how about adding that filter-type rotary switch that
you suggested for the mixer channel strips a few weeks back an extreme filter with
selectable slopes and filter types - for one of the filters, anyway - would really be the non
plus ultra of filters. maybe lose cv2 to make room for the switch, add a jumper to make
cv3 optionally unipolar, and since you've got a socket left over, you could make it a hpf
output, normalled to the main out. you could call it the excessive filter :))
my question: is there a block diagramme anywhere for the 106-1 i've sort of got it half
sussed, but not quite.
cheers, stu
