i don't know the slimmer knobs, but i agree that the doepfer pots
could be easier to turn. obviously, it's nice to have a certain amount
of resistance when you're turning, if only for the more solid "feel",
but i find quick tweaks on stage very difficult. and a one-fingered
tweak without the thumb (or only the thumb) is not possible.
smaller knobs, while increasing space, would make turning more difficult.
i suppose it's a matter of priorities - the stiffness of the pots is
never an issue when i'm setting up that killer patch at home :)
