Ingo (selfoscillate) already mentioned the 'political' background.

I'd like to add, that I think that this ensemble effect is not very
interesting from the technical point of view of a modular system. If you
vary those parameters, which Juergen made fixed, then all the special
charisma of the ensemble effect is lost.

Also it is quite easy to reproduce that sound with three BBD-modules and
three LFOS (or much easier: some cheapo guitar chorus stomp boxes), and
a fixed low and high pass filter.
