Though the voltage of the battery seems to be OK I'd recommend to replace it
betimes. The reported corrosion is an indication that the part should be
replaced. It is available as a spare part from your local Doepfer
representative.

You are right: this additional capacitor has to be soldered across the
jumper J1.
