it has a different sound than the 172 i think...
i cannot say for sure, as i do not have the 172
anymore to check to which doepfer phaser modules it
comes closer...
if i had to get only one doepfer phaser, i would get
the 101-3 for sure.
it can sound from very smooth to very agressive and
extreme(with the right feedback patchings).
i can totally recommend this one!!
