Hi,
to my experience the A-143-1 is not fast enough for claps.
my faourite clap consists of:
white noise -> one or more bandpassfilter/s (I use the trautionium
filter) -> VCA1 -> VCA2
VCA1 and 2 are the two halfs of a A-132.
VCA1 is controlled by an A140 with setting like:
A=0 D=3 S=0 R=2 and time range set to "L"
This envelope is triggered by the random Clock of A113 with rate
setting at 3
VCA2 is controlled by another A140 with setting like:
A=5 D=8 S=0 R=7 and time range set to "L"
This is triggered in my example by an LFO square, the value of the decay
depends on the length of the gate signal.
The real tricks of this setting:
1.) A-113 as triggersource for the "different hands" provides that each
clap sounds a little bit different.
2.) The slight attack at the real loudness envelope simulates the
reality: there is one person which has the "fastest" hands, then come
the claps of several other persons at the same time, whic will caus to
be the loudest part of the overall clap sound, and then ther will be one
or more persons which clap late (release phase).
3.) VCA1 with the "repeated" envelope will have some unwanted CV-noise
from the very fast attack, which talks through all the time; this is cut
awy by VCA2
