Hi All,
I'm jumping in on this topic kind of late. On top of that I'm about
to take it off on another tangent, so I apologise for hijacking the
agenda!
My question is: what use are people hoping to put the TKB to I'm
guessing that the main interest is as an "alternative" type
controller for those who are either not interested in the
traditional type of keyboard or for those who want to use it
alongside their keyboard as another control option. In this respect,
wouldn't it be more useful/interseting to have a simple set of touch
plates (maybe 10 in a desktop version or maybe 5 in a module
version ) that can be tuned to individual intervals rather than
another 1v/octave keyboard (Kind of like the original TKB concept
but without all of the individual CV outs and sequencing ie: perhaps
just 3 voltage outputs: a main plate cv, a pressure CV and a gate
voltage). Maybe the module could be equipped with a USB socket (as
I believe someone else has suggested)instead of the individual 1/8"
jacks and make use of the existing Doepfer A-100 ribbon controller
interface (a-198)
Sorry if these ideas have been suggested already or this conflicts
with the intended design and goals of the project. Just my thoughts!
Regards,
Adam
