I'm just thrilled to see this discussion taking place. I have been
watching the development of this product for five years. I can't
explain how anxious I am to see it come to fruition. The normal
keyboard arrangement happens to work for most of my needs, but I do
understand the desire for something more Buchla-like. It's important
to remember that, at this point, the controller is planned to respond
to MIDI, so any type of MIDI controller can be used, whether made by
Doepfer or not. There are DIY kits already available that would allow
the user to arrange metal plates however he desires. The important
issue is the production of the controller module.
