Dear members,
I'm back from NAMM. My Yahoo account has stopped again working during my
absence. If there were important questions during this time that have not
been answered please send them to me again. I'm not sure if I have time to
see through all messages of the group during this time.
NAMM visitors were very interested in the new modules and the CV/Gate
keyboard. There were also some suggestions primarily for the A-137-2 Wave
Multiplier II and the A-189-1 Bit Modifier:
A-189-1:
voltage control of Mode (instead of the 16-position rotary switch)
ext. clock input for the sample rate (instead of the voltage controlled
sample rate)
additional VCA at the signal input to modulate the incoming signal before
it's processed by the bit modifier
A-137-2:
output mixer (original + 4 additionally generated signals, in the prototype
all signals are mixed with the same level, no level controls)
offset control for the phase shifts (in the prototype the initial phase
shift is fixed to 90 degrees)
single outputs for sawtooth and rectangles (i.e. 8 separate outputs), maybe
as an additional 4 HP module that has to be connected to the main module
Tell me what you think and maybe we will start some polls before we release
the new modules.
For the CV/Gate keyboard the type of the transpose function has been
discussed: octave (as it is now) or semitone, maybe we will make it
adjustable in the config mode (in this mode basic functions like midi
channel, gate polarity, keybed length and some others are adjusted)
For the other modules (A-138e Quad Triple Crossfader/Mixer/Polarizer,
A-106-6 XP Filter/Filter Pool, A-132-3 Dual lin/exp VCA, A-134-2 Dual VC
Crossfader) no or only a few suggestions were made.
Provided that no changes are made all new modules will available about April
2008. If a module has to be redesigned there will be a delay of about 1-2
months depending on the extent of the modifications.
The CV/Gate keyboard will be manufactured in February and available about
end of February 2008.
Best wishes
Dieter Doepfer
