Pay attention that the function of the fuses for the DIY kits one are
totally different from the fuses used in the standard A-100 frames. In the
standard cases the fuses are used in the primary section of the power
supply, i.e. in the primary section of the transformer (= mains section,
i.e. 230 or 115V). In the DIY kits the fuses are in the secondary section at
the output of the transformers and should read the sames value as the
transformer. The standard transformer of the DIY kit #1 has 2.5A output
current and consequently a 2.5A fuse has to be used (the factory value of
the fuse is 2.5A too). A 500 mA fuse will blow in the DIY kit #1 as soon as
the DC current goes beyond ~ 250mA as the current is shared for both +12V
and -12V ! If another transformer is used the fuse should have the same
value as the max. transformer output current.
