Hi guys and girls,
As annonced earlier on this list, the dutch mag. Interface would test the A 100. It came out a couple of weeks ago. I didn't have the time to give you the results. So here they finally are. I must admid I was really dissapointed to see how superficial it all was. Here are the highlights:
- friendly priced modules
- easy to build your own system
- the A100 actually doesn't exist due to the fact that "every" module has it's own sound. F.i. putting a wavetable oscilator through a waps filter, gives quite different result than a regular A110 through a A120.
- The sound of the A100 is generally speaking quite clear in the timbre, with more accent on the mid and high then on the low. More ARP then Moog, but with a more stable signal.
- Missing sometimes of more inputs, like on the ADSR, speaking of the basis system.
- Big plus, there are so many modules, you can let you imagination run wild.
That's it! No indepth comments on the usage, range, possibilities etc.
elec.
