I'm suprised at this topic,
Honestly agreeing with all, still i must say that they are analog modules, high quality and extremely high quality built as i have assessed them personally and cannot believe the attention to detail for the prices (ie solders perfect etc) ; and the sound, well, thats a whole new paragraph..!
Aesthetically, if one was to require a new range of the "Same" modules in colors...well, the first issue is demand vs production costs etc...
If a custom design is what somebody wishes for, consider having the panels remade via a laser cut service and electroplating them ... based on original specifications. Probably have to speak to dieter if you would have any queries regarding your warranty after this kind of modification.
Then you would have true customs :) and they would only cost you around another %100 of the original price; but they'd look cool......
But what i love about these modules the most is they don't try to sell them with gimmicks or "amazing new color panels"! (Not a dis to other brands, just a fact.) there audio modules, and at a live gig you would only notice the l.e.d's anyway from off stage..
Or even consider uv reactive ts cables to patch with.... but panel colors....
I would vote for them but i don't know about every user.
And then if they did make new colors they would probably loose their identity.
Right now doepfer mod's are neat and do their job well.
But i wouldnt loose any sleep over it ... :)
Oh yeah this did create a pointless discussion :O
I know this its my first post and its a bit choppy;
but its a monday morning for me :)
maybe i should get that coffee...
Cheers

(for the record im neutral about this topic, i'm not having a go at any1 :)
