the only other analog frequency shifter i've used is the one made by 360 Systems (two different units, years ago), and i always wanted one...there is no way i can compair by memory, but i'm extremely happy with my Doepfer A-126...i've ran guitar/voice/metal percussion/etc thru it, and it works great in other patches as well...if there is a difference in sound compaired to higher priced mods, i'm not interested because i could afford the Doepfer, and i most likely would never buy the others because they are simply too expensive for me...
