...or do it the Apple way... Put a delete icon/button (e.g. red cross)
over the left-hand top corner of the module on mouseOver. Even better:
combine it with a modifier key (Opt-mouseOver for instance). Expanding
on that: have a plus icon/button on the other corner, to quickly
duplicate the same module...
Other options: change the existing red square thingy to a circular
icon *with* cross. Makes it more clear that's it a delete button.
But the proper solution - that is, if you want to be consistent with
your user interface - is to use drag'n'drop for deletion. Drag the
module somewhere outside of the frame and poofff!! deleted.
If you'd use the delete key, there is still no feedback for the user
as to know that you have to use the delete key for removal of a
module. One needs to somehow know that first (user manual, or pop-up
hint). Of course, still handy to have, a delete key...
