I have a shepard patch in one of our demo systems (with two A-103-3 for
endless up or down phasings and an A-135 for the mixing). It works very well
(but I think you wanted to have an answer from a more "unloaded" person).
The A-143-9 cannot to the same job as you do not need only the 90 degrees
phase shifted triangle or sine waves (to control the VCAs) but also the
rising or falling sawtooth waves (controlling the VCOs/VCFs/VCPs). Details
in the A-191 user manual.
