Richard,
Understand that point of view. In comparison to something like the BDD
modules from Doepfer this is on the surface quite a basic module that
does no more than a $50 guitar effects box.
However I'm used to using multi FX mid patch and make a lot of use of
digital delay or digital reverb within the feedback loop of filters or
between VCO's that are modulating each other. The effect is clean and
adds a transparency to the sound, unlike say my spring reverb or an
analogue delay line.
Horse for courses as we say.
I enjoy having the choice. The added bonus of the TipTop is that the CV
input, although only effecting 1 parameter of the effect - be it delay
time or reverb decay time - gives me a bit more flexibility over the
standard multi FX modules I use.
Best wishes
David
BTW I just realise that the sticker on the box gives a link to the
online manual so I'm off to download that now.

but what does the voltage control actually do on this module Not much
by the sound of it
I think that VC controlled digital modules are an exciting prospect but
this seems like the most boring way to look at it - no gate input, and
only one VC input seems not very exciting
