I do appreciate everyone's comments.
Many thanks.
It appears that:
a) yellow panels are overwhelmingly acceptable.
So our Euro panels will be yellow.
b) the response has been so rabidly positive that I won't worry so
much about power-supply issues.
Some of the planned modules will need additional +5v from an internal
power supply, and some will run off the internal +-12v only.
Our dealers tell me that this will not be a problem for serious
customers. Having an external wall-wart was not favorably looked upon,
so customers will be advised to add +5 supplies to their existing
cabinets.
c) the modules will have space on their PCBs for either Doepfer 16-pin
(or 10 pin if +5 is not needed) power connectors, with polarity
protection. They will also accept Blacet-style power connectors for
future Frac use, with a suitable Frac panel.
d) Those people who demand Dotcom or MOTM panels are advised to
contact Scott at bridechamber.com. He has been offering a MOTM version
of our TM-1 for some time now, and can offer other TMs if the demand
is there.
Thanks again, it will be several months before the first module is
ready for demonstration. I'm really, really busy now, backed up with
orders for existing gear---primarily due to a very positive review of
our S-1000 synth in SOUND ON SOUND.
