I have to point out that we still have stock of the CEM circuits and all
modules with CEM3320, CEM3340 and CEM3381/PA381 are still available! I'd
assume that we are able to supply all modules that contain these circuits at
least until end of this year (probably longer). In the A-106-6, A-107,
A-109, A-111-2 and A-122 other CEM circuits are used. We have still have
sufficient stock of these circuits. There will be no substitute for the
A-123. The discontinuation of the A-123 has been announced long time before
the CEM problems occured because of the extremely poor sales of this module
(only ~ 2-3 per month).
For the modules that contain the VCA circuit CEM3381/PA381 we think about a
redesign with other VCAs (THAT or SSM2164 or ) because VCA circuits are
still available. But there is also some chance that the PA381 is available
in the future from Onchip. In the meantime I got an answer from Onchip: the
CEM3320 and CEM3340 are definitely no longer available but they think about
a new production of the CEM3381/PA381 - provided that we order a sufficient
quantity.
Best wishes
