hmmmm.... I love analog and digital delays but the sound just isn't related
enough at all to compare the two. Tey are two different beasts, just as old
dig delays share nothing with modern ones.
A dopefur analog delay would be welcome, but what could it offer that the
Blacet doesn't and the scarce availability of the BBD chips seems to
cancel out the possibility of it being more affordable.

Well, Digital Delays are a very mixed bag, but I would prefer Doepfer look
into a modular dig delay over an analog one, a modular dig delay could be
excellent and affordable, but a focus on the sound quality and not length of
delay would be great. A dig delay with lots of cv control could be amazing,
and doepfer is probably the best manufacturer(right size) to pull something
like that off.
