It should be possible to increase the range a bit by lowering the values of
the resistors R4 and R5 (both 2k2) which are in series with the control
potentiometers for attack and decay. Adding a range switch is also possible.
You have to switch the capacitor C1 (2u2) between different values. For
example 47n/1u/22u. With these values the ranges are multiples of about 20.
I don't have time to try out lowering R4/R5 as I'm about to leave for the
synthesizer meeting in Kufstein/Austria that takes place this weekend. I can
try out the mod next week. You can find the positions of R4/R5/C1 in the
appendix of the A-101-9 manual (where the modifications of some modules with
vactrols are described).
