I've got the Malgorithm & an Alesis Bitrman. I've ordered the Doepfer unit and can post
some examples once I get it.
The Malgo and Bitrman are both excellent & can be set to do exactly the same sound in
bit reduction mode. However, the Malgorithm is much more flexible in what it does. It
has a narrower focus with more variables within that focus.
The Bitrman has other effects and the serial order of them can be changed. It does
Phasing, Comb Filtering, etc.
They are two different beasts and I'm happy to have both. I'll get back with info on the
A-189-1 when I've got it.
