Hi Mark,

well, I have two joysticks, one sprung and one unsprung. The one with the springs in it is not totally snug in the center position but there are definitely no variations in the CV coming out. It appears to be more of a mechanical problem with the mounting that doesn't affect performance. I've been using the unsprung joystick much more and have never had an issue with it, quite to the contrary.

Thanks for this - I actually want to remove the springs anyway - it's not the springs I don't
think, more sliding slot at the centre of the joystick that the stick itself is attached to. I
spoke to a friend who has a Doepfer joystick and he said that his was the same, so
perhaps this looseness is inherent in the design.
