I think the sum of all CVs should not exceed 10 V. According to the service
manual

the Octave switch gives without
any additional CV a Frequency of around 1kHz at the highest position (+ 2
Oct). This feeds 5V to the summing point, so additional 5 Volts should give
you the highest possible frequency. This is theory, I did not try this in
reality.
I think, the musically usable range of the exponentiator circuit ends
around ~3000Hz. Keep in mind, this is a lowcost VCO.

That is true of course; I think in general a more desk like position of the
surface is much better, but it can take a lot of space. A friend owns a
A100 in the suitcase housing: very cool handling!
