Apropos the discussion about a preamp module for external audio signals:
A-119 is of course a great module for integrating external audio signals with the A100, but I suppose that many people like me uses the preamp part of the A-119 much more often than the env follower / gate functions. So what about a simple dual Ext In preamp module, without the envelope follower etc Perhaps an "A-119-2", in a 8HP module with a layout like the other "Dual..." modules (A-162, A-133 etc.) and, per channel: input / output / gain control / 3-position gain switch.
The ARP 2600 has a great simple little preamp for external signals just like this, with a three position gain switch (x10 / x100 / x1000); what about something based on this times two in a 8HP module (The preamp in the 2600 can also be used to overdrive external line level signals very nicely on their way into the system.) IMO a module like this could be a great saver on both space and cost, especially in portable suitcase systems.
