Its a DIY job as far as I know - I came across it quite by accident, a scan of several articles from 'Contemporary Keyboard' magazine from Nov 1979 (& Dec & Jan) (the name 'Multiple Identity Filter' even had a little trade mark 'TM' against it). I've seen his name before though, I think he does electronics books and gizmos aimed at guitarists, and he may also have connections with Paia Electronics.
