Dieter,
The "Honey I Shrunk the Schaltwerk" looks great. Apart from having a whole panel of pulsing LED's, I good trigger sequencer is high on my list of requirements.
But then again so are so many of the forth coming modules ;o)

It's a very early prototype of the planned module named "honey I shrunk the
 schaltwerk" ;-)
We finished the two prototypes at the weekend before the Musikmesse. As it
was not sure if we could make it there was no time for an announcement. And
the two prototypes have only very limited functions so far:
prototype 1: matrix of 8 rows with 8 buttons and LEDs each (the final
version will probably have 16 buttons and LEDs per row), 8 trigger outputs
(during the Musikmesse used to trigger MFB drum modules), clock and reset
input, no additional functions like different first/last step,
 presets/memories and so on
pototype 2 (not complete): 8x8 LED matrix with only one set of 8 buttons,
the buttons have to be assigned to one row, the final version will have
probably 16x8 (or 32x8) LEDs with one set 16 (or 32) buttons. This would
allow a very compact 16x8 (or 32x8) step trigger sequencer with a small
 required space.
I added a picture of the two versions to our website:
www.doepfer.de/A100_pictures/A100_Schaltwerk.jpg. On the right side you see
version 1, on the left side version two (so far only the LED matrix that
displays the same as the version 1 but rotated by 90 degrees). The single
button row for version 2 has not been finished in time. Only the LED matrix
unit was finished. We think also about other applications of the LED matrix
(e.g. 8-fold level meter, X/Y position display, miniature
 oscilloscope/correlation meter and some more).
Everything is in a very early prototype state and we are not sure if both
versions (separate button for each step or only one set of buttons) will be
manufactured. In any case it will be a simple trigger sequencer with reduced
functions compared to Schaltwerk (not the same huge functions as the
Schaltwerk). Probably two (normalled) clock inputs for the rows 1-4 and 5-8
will be available to allow different tempos for the rows 1-4/5-8 (e.g. by
means of a trigger divider or two totally independent clocks). And some
presets/memories will be available, but probably not the extended functions
 of Schaltwerk.
Before we continue with this module a lot of other stuff has to be finished
 (Dark Energy, A-111-5, DSP-Module A-187-1, Matrix Mixer A-138m, Dual
 Attenuator A-183-1, Offset/Polarizer A-183-2, Amplifier A-183-3, polyphonic
Midi/CV interface A-190-3, modulation wheel module A-174-2, foot controller
module A-177-2, CV/Gate-to-Midi interface, and some more ...)
 Best wishes
 Dieter Doepfer
