Hi Mikhail,
I recently bought a MFB SEQ-02 step sequencer. Its build quality is very good although I had initial reservations when I ordered it because, unlike Doepfer, the front panel is not made of metal - it's made of circuit board material. However don't let that put you off because when it arrived I was pleasantly suprised with the quality of the design and build - I love it! The SEQ-02 is only about 25mm thick as the circuit board is mounted parallel to the front panel. The controls are very tactile. It just oozes niceness. The only downside to MFB that I have found is the manual, it's not as comprehensive or clearly laid out as Doepfer manuals - a very minor point.
VCO vs DCO I don't have either but have read that the DCO will not respond the same to higher frequency modulation such as audio (e.g. DCO 1 cross modulating DCO2). This should not be a problem for most applications - I'm going to get the VCO.
Cheers
Tony
