hello list,
today i got a Cwejman VCO-6 multi output oscillator module.
i really like its clear layout, its linear FM sound, and its octave switch.
in functionality and workflow is a lot like the Doepfer A111 (well designed and with a good user interface) and, so the VCO6 gets my vote as a perfect companion to the A111 high end vco, for anyone wanting a really nice sounding linear FM oscillator. it also has the same width, 14HP.
also, the PWM of the Cwejman VCO6 sounds great too!
in comparison to other euro oscillators: do not expect the VCO6 to sound 'really fat' and 'warm', but it sounds precise and 'crystal clear' (whatever that may mean). so, for certain applications, a precise and great linear fm sound is what you may need though.
bottom line: a great oscillator for 'sparkling' sound design.
...ok, i know it is not a Doepfer module, but it is euro format, and thought to tell the group my opinion...
thanks,
best regards,
Bakis.
