The 149 SoU is my main module (often with the 156 Quantizer) and
alternatives such as the Wogglebug and Cyclotron also need investigation.
nick.
f.w.i.w., i like the a-149-1/2 s.o.u. also - i have 3 of them plus a 300
wogglebug, a makenoise wogglebug, 2 different d.i.y. wogglebugs and 2 other
peculiar d.i.y. random c.v./gate generators. yes, i love random stuff !
:^)
oddly enough, i like the density of the quad modules for my system. vc lfo
seems a necessity tho, too.
doepfer lopass/gate is very nice too.
myself, i`d consider an a-106-6 vcf before the a-106 xtreme but again,
thats just me.
vco`s all have their own qualities but i find the a-110 perfectly adequate
for most of what i do but thats not pitch/note oriented either. i sometimes
think that a simpler vco is better with complexities added by wave
multiplier-type modules.
just some scattered thoughts -
best,
dave
