I've been trying to recreate the patch ever since but without success. So it goes, let it go, at least I had the sense to record 5 minutes. It started as a straight copy of the Doepfer manual 149 patch

(without inverting the VCLFO CV), then I patched in all the other VCOs and other modules I had at the time.
I guess that's the joy and pain of real synths and why I'm having so much more fun since I put away childish plugins.
After all, if random processes (including both the modules and my 'what happens if I put that in there' approach) were easily reproducible they would be neither random nor fun.
I'm trying (slightly) more structured pieces at the moment and also investigating videos (thanks to Doug for his advice).
