:-) I hope it doesn't hit me that hard... I've spent a lot of
time in front of the computer already and sort-of tried to
get a life too. It worked so far... I hope to build on that
expertise with my Doepfer obsession... (OK, calm down,
turn this thing off, go outside, breathe, inhale, exhale,
encounter other humans, etc... ,-)

Sebastian,
In case no one has warned you, or if you haven't figured it out
by
now, be prepared for the following issues.
1. Sensory deprivation. This will generally manifest itself in
the
form of sleeplessness, which will be a direct result of
searching for
The Perfect Patch. Developing a taste for coffee is highly
advised.
2. Deteriorated social skills. Your new best friend is now an
inanimate piece of electronics... at least this is what everyone
around you thinks. Forget personal relationships, as your new
best
friend needs your attention. Now.
3. Financial ruin. Purchasing new modules will soon be more
important than eating or paying your rent/mortgage. It doesn't
matter how many modules you own because it simply won't be
enough.
Sell your car today. You're going to need the money very soon
(see
#4).
4. Dissatisfaction. You'll become painfully aware that your old
synthesizers are limited in their capacity to satisfy your
routing
and modulation desires. There is only one way around this
problem
(see #3).
Welcome to the world of obsession.
Regards,
Kevin
