Indeed a serious discussion about problems and seems like synt...com take
their pr seriously. Perhaps this has a bit to do with the fact that users
sometimes also build their modular from kits. It is more of an indepth
relation with their machine. I asked mr D about some help replacing my power
supply and he tried very hard to convince me not to even try it. I got a
most kind note that they wanted to keep me as an alive and satisfied
customer. So I got good service from Doepfer, but it reflects a disbelief in
their customer stock. They treat us a bit like john does buying a VCR, as
for MOTM treating their users more like technicians. I feel that Doepfers
position is the right here actually - more people are techno-morons that
skilled.
None the less I am getting a better and better feeling about the motm, so
don't be surpriced if you did steer me into getting some one day... but not
now - now I am looking for a good home cinema setup.
