They are based on the original Serge design. There is the ineviable change in parts that happens over +20 years but the design is basically the same.

There will be the ability to make something similar from combining some soon to be made modules from Synthwerks (a company I'm starting with some friends). We will be making a 4x4 programming module (basically a matrix of pots that can be manually addressed) and a few different manual trigger and Force Sensing Resistor modules that can be linked together to make something like the bugbrand module. A lot more flexible and quite a bit larger but in Euro format size. There was a posting on Matrix synth that shows our proposed lineup.

We also have a Facebook page with some preliminary drawings and the space for comments. I have designed a few more that haven't been posted yet that combine them into quad versions etc. These will be posted soon there. Synthwerks plans on focusing on low cost non conventional controllers. Hopefully we will be in full production by years end.
